What Your Membership Supports

Neighborhood Maintenance & Beautification

  • Owns, landscapes, and decorates all three entrances, including holiday lighting and decorations.
  • Pays for insurance and utilities for entrance signage and lighting.
  • Coordinates neighborhood clean-up days and seasonal maintenance projects.
  • Maintains the Tennis Court, North Ball Field, and both neighborhood parks.
  • Works directly with the City of Omaha to ensure mowing, tree trimming, and other city services are completed.
  • Maintains and updates Property Guidelines to help preserve an attractive environment and strong home values.

Community Communication & Representation

  • Maintains open communication with city officials and represents the community when input is requested.
  • Works with homeowners to assist with concerns such as snow removal, noise, and traffic.
  • Maintains communication with the Omaha Police Department to help address vandalism and safety issues.
  • Operates a weekend Citizen’s Patrol to enhance neighborhood safety and reduce crime.
    Note: This program is currently on pause as the Citizen’s Patrol coordinator position is vacant. If you’re interested in helping revive this important neighborhood initiative, we’d love to hear from you!
  • Coordinates 29 Area Representatives to provide local feedback and connect residents with the HOA.
  • Publishes quarterly newsletters and member directory access.
  • Maintains the HOHA website and social channels with timely updates, resources, and neighborhood news.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Coordinates volunteers, including Area Reps, to support all community activities.
  • Hosts a variety of family-friendly annual events, including:
    • Spring Candy Hunt
    • Golf Tournament
    • Patriot Parade
    • Fireworks Celebration
    • Spring/Fall Clean-Up Days
    • Holiday Party
    • Neighborhood Garage Sales
    • End of Summer Bash (see below)
  • Feature Event: End of Summer Bash
    This event alone takes four months of planning and at least 30 volunteers!
    • Free entry for homeowners, families, and grandchildren
    • $5 food truck voucher per person
    • Two free beverages per person (while supplies last)
    • Fun experiences for all ages
    • Silent auction items
    • A delightful way to connect with neighbors and celebrate our communit

Local Partnerships & Support

  • Supports Harvey Oaks Elementary PTO and local Scout Troops.
  • Provides sponsorship and support for local athletic teams (baseball, softball, soccer).
  • Maintains relationships with real estate agents to share updates, gain feedback, and promote neighborhood value.
