General Membership Meeting

The meeting was called to order by President Luke Hawkins at 7:30 pm.
Officers, Area Representatives, and Committee members present include: Luke Hawkins – President, Dave Price – Vice President, Nicole Hebert-Secretary, Area 7, ESOB, Denny Schaeppi – ESOB, Golf, Drew Feuerbach -Treasurer, Jim Grabenbauer – Parks, Tom Helm – Parks, Chris Nellis –Social, John Brehmer- Guidelines, Traci Selby – Membership, Lacey Ruffino – Yard Sale, Holiday Party, Jim Small – Advertising
Updates:
Fall Clean-up date set: Saturday, Oct. 25th – Harvey Oaks Elementary parking lot – 9am-2pm

The Harvey Oaks location will not be accepting tires. Bicycle guy, Metal recycling, possibly the Furniture Project.
Upcoming Neighborhood Events:
Fall Frenzy Movie Night – Harvey Oaks North Park between tennis court and baseball diamond. Poll on social media for which Halloween movie will be shown. Popcorn from Vic’s Popcorn Popper – guest bring their own popcorn buckets. Bring blankets, chairs, and your favorite movie candy! Bring a pumpkin to paint! Movie will be shown at sundown around 8pm. Food truck at 5:00-7:30 pm – need to reserve one. Luke is providing the screen and Jim Fitzsimmons the projector – huge thank you! Guests are welcome to bring back-yard games and enjoy the company of neighbors before the showing.

Committee members for the various activities (End of Summer Bash, Parks, Holiday Party/festivities).
Ballfields/Parks – Jim Grabenbauer/Tom Helm
· City will come and till at the end of Oct.
· Grass/weeds at the middle park needs treated under the spider climb.
Golf Tournament – Denny Schaeppi
· Working through some lessons we learned this year and already working on next year
· Tentative date is May 24th
· Also working on ways to advertise in the neighborhood utilizing the baseball field backstop
Membership: Traci Selby
· Kick off for 2026 – 58 residents are members
· 2025 – ended with 367 memberts
· Church drive thru membership drive in Nov.
· Dave Price to write letter for mailing in Oct.
Social Media – Chris Nellis
· Social has picked up some steam with many people engaging in the content.
Newsletter- Warren Curry – unavailable – Nicole Hebert – shared update
· Oct/Nov. newsletter due soon. If anyone has anything, please email.
· Adding events at the Heartwood Preserve
· Chris to write a little blog on interest rates – lots of homes for sale in the neighborhood.
· Reaching out to the new Principal to write a little welcome blog
ESOB – Nicole Hebert/Denny Schaeppi
· Came in under budget for the event.
· $335 went to YES and Harvey Oaks Elementary

· Working on fall clean-up
· Adding membership drive as well
· Working with Sandy Fravel on the parking issue for no parking signs between Harvey Oaks Ave and Arbor entrance
Holiday Party/Garage Sale – Lacey Ruffino
· Need to get new garage sale signs
· Sunday, Sept. 14th – Harvey Oaks Girl Scouts are planting a tree in Harvey Oaks south park off of Arbor in memory of Katie Barnes. This will be such a beautiful memory for the loss of such an angel.
· Need to address the no parking signs in front of Harvey Oaks Elementary School as they the months are backwards for when you can park
· Stop signs – people are not stopping, and kids have almost been hit. There is also no stop sign at the end of 149th Cir and Shirley. There needs to be a sign.
Treasurer’s Report-Drew Feuerbach
· Covered changes in the budget for next year based on the current memberships that came in. This budget will be voted on at the Oct. meeting.
· Looking at getting Harvey Oaks coozies made.
Old Business- None
New Business- Luke Hawkins – we need to continue to think about creative ways to build some revenue as well as membership. Going to take the whole team. Everyone has been doing such a great job at pitching in where needed and going outside their normal duties – THANK YOU!
As there was no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 pm.
