General Membership Meeting

The meeting was called to order by President Lucas Hawkins at 7:30 pm.
Officers, Area Representatives, and Committee members present include: Lucas Hawkins – President, John Brehmer-Guidelines, Neighborhood Clean-up, Area 17, Nicole Hebert-Secretary, Area 7, ESOB, Dave Price-Vice-President, Jim Grabenbauer – Parks, Ashley Doherty – Website, Denny Schaeppi – ESOB, Golf, Jim Fitzsimmons – Golf, Traci Selby – Membership, Mike and Kellye Rouw – Area 2
President’s Report
First order of business: Fireworks – need to start raising money now. Need update from Corey from Drew. Ideas to recruit other neighboring homeowners’ associations. Get in touch with Pacific Hollow.
Making Harvey Oaks OR Code signs out of the president’s fund.
Family Holiday Party – Hosted at Converge Church on Dec. 8th was a success with 60 visiting with Santa.
Upcoming Neighborhood Events:
Harvey Oaks Annual Golf Tournament – Sunday, May 18th at Pacific Springs Golf Course, 16810 Harney Street in Omaha, NE – Proceeds from this event will be used to renovate the entrance islands in Harvey
Oaks.
Harvey Oaks Spring Garage Sale –April 24-26th – If you would like to participate and have your name and address placed on the master list of sales, e-mail it to Lacey Ruffino at laceya1016@gmail.com.

Area 10 Rep
Golf Tournament – Denny Schaeppi and Jim Fitzsimmons – date May 18th – Harvey Oaks Golf Classis – 8:00 am
- Shotgun start – $90 early bird, $100 per person after – all done by QR code – want 144 golfers
- Working on donations for pin prizes – have 18 holes need 18 sponsors – mulligans and raffle items
- Denny is working on corporate sponsorships – Dawn Grimshaw Corporate Sponsor and Observatory Beverage Cart
- Dixon golf will be a sponsor who will run games on 2 holes – HOA will keep 30% of those proceeds
- Lunch not determined
Membership: Traci Selby
- 155 homes have paid dues for 2025 – 61 of those came from the Summer Bash picnic.
- Talk about utilizing MailChimp for email blast.
- Thoughts on an Area Rep get together
- Send thank you cards to current members
- Utilize the city election on May 13th to possibly use as a drive thru dues drive
Mike and Kelleye Rouw – willing to do some research and put together a Welcome packet and restart the Welcoming committee to help welcome all the new homeowners.
Social Media – Warren Curry – no update as out of town
Newsletter- Nicole Hebert on behalf of Warren
- Working on newsletter for Feb/March – information being put together and submitted for formatting. Jan. 15th
Neighborhood Cleanup – John Brehmer
- Spring clean up date is still needed. Luke will reach out to Crescent Oaks and the city of Omaha.
- Talk about having the Furniture Project possibly come to take old furniture.
Parks– Jim Grabenbauer
- Lights are now off – some of the star bursts on the sides of the entrances at 144th and Harvey Oaks were stolen.
- Getting on a locater service for the islands for continued maintenance and to avoid interruptions to city services.
- Ballfield issues – lots of mud and needs to be re-worked. Issues still with first base drainage.
ESOB – Nicole Hebert
- Planning starts in March
Webpage-Ashley Doherty – no report
Ball Field- Kevin Hughes wasn’t present to give a report. Ballfield needs some work. Date of Spring practice signups still needed.
Treasurer’s Report-Trent Bradshaw not present – Luke reported on need to start fundraising for fireworks.
Old Business- None
New Business-
- Idea – to ask for updated information from neighbors so we can better tailor what the HOHA does to the needs of the neighborhood
As there was no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 pm.
