Up lighting of the single tree, in the second island, will be installed. Holiday lights have been purchased for the tree. The project is currently waiting on the contractor.
  • The committee will solicit donations from homeowners that have commented on the holiday lights via Next Door.
  • The committee will communicate full accounting of expenses and funds raised to the HOHA Board on the Holiday Lights project.
  • The committee has plans to pull 110 voltage between the islands at 148 & Center Street in the spring using existing sleeve. This will enable the use of PVC for the holiday lights as well as allowing power on the islands for trimming of trees and shrubs.
  • Fire Hydrants -will continue to be painted in the spring throughout the neighborhood.
  • Routine trash pickup and edging of trails-the committee is currently exploring ‘Sign up Genius’ for volunteers. This will enable volunteers to choose times that work for them helping in the parks. Hopefully, this will expand the volunteer pool.
  • The Port-a-Potty in the practice ball field this year should not have been there. The committee will make sure it is delivered to the right location next year.
  • Communication with Converge Church-the committee will talk to Pastor Mike Freisen and ask if there is any church member that is a resident of Harvey Oaks, who might consider helping on the Parks committee. The entrance island at 144 and Center is close to the church.
  • Island clean up will be scheduled and coordinated with the City of Omaha (City) so trimmings can be picked up.
