Ball Field Report-Kevin Hughes gave the following report.

Old Business:

  • There was one home that changed hands during February in Harvey Oaks.
  • Jim Grabenbauer is still looking for older pictures of Harvey Oaks for the “Growing Up Harvey Oaks” video project.

New Business:

  • A discussion was held on the fireworks display planned for June 26.  Because the display was held four months later in 2020, the donations collected for the 2021 event are not as large.  Drew Thompson was contacted and $7,500.00 is the cost of the display.  It was suggested that some special fundraising project be developed to help cover the cost of the 2021 event.  Currently, the fireworks donations are about $2,500.00 below what is needed.  No concrete plans were developed.
  • There will be a yardwaste spring “grace” period, May 17-June 25, when homeowners can put out excessive yardwaste that will not fit in the cart and have it removed.
  • The Annual Neighborhood Clean-up Day will be in May.  The City of Omaha (City) will determine the exact date in May this event will take place.
  • All HOHA sponsored events are always free to current HOHA members.  Residents of Harvey Oaks that aren’t current HOHA members can attend events for $14.00 per person.  Guests of current HOHA members can attend for $7.00 per person.  Grandchildren of current HOHA members are admitted at no charge at all events.

Announcements:

  • Anyone that would like to report neighborhood problems should call the Mayor’s Hotline, 444-5555.
  • Tim Glover, Jim Grabenbauer, Knut Haasch, Tom Helm, Rod Jensen, Derek Menke, and Barb Velinsky were thanked for helping take down the Holiday lights.

As there was no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.  The next regular meeting is Thursday, April 8, 2021, 7:30 p.m. method or place to be determined.

Respectively submitted,
Carol Feelhaver-HOHA Secretary
